Published on the ESA Lunar Robotics Challenge website on March 28th, 2008:

"As interest in exploration of the Moon soars among the world’s space agencies, the European Space Agency (ESA), through it's General Studies Programme, is challenging university students to develop a robotic vehicle that is capable of overcoming difficult terrain comparable to that at the lunar poles."

Therefore, students of multiple courses of study of the University of Bremen forged a small crew in order to participate in the challenge and solve the given tasks. Everyone from our team is responsible for his respective field of expertise in order to recombine each of our project members' special skills to form an efficient and flexible team.

The project is a joint operation in between the University and our sponsor, the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), which supplies us with the necessary equipment to develop and construct our robot.
